About Me

I believe healing occurs in relationships and my role as a therapist is to help my clients discover and uncover how to build healthy, healing relationships; ones that allow them to flourish in connection with others while staying in connection with their authentic self.

Humor, curiosity, acceptance, compassion and collaboration underpin my work.

I strive to integrate the best practices from various models within a caring and collaborative relationship. I draw from AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and both somatic-based and mindfulness-based techniques. I am EMDR trained.

My specializations include anxiety, identity exploration, ADHD, grief and loss, parenting issues—with a particular focus on parenting children with special needs and helping parents who are supporting their LGBTQ youth—trauma, and depression. I hold a Master’s in Licensed Professional Counseling from St. Edward’s University.

My experience as a parent of a special needs child, a parent of a member of the LBGTQ+ community, a partner in a long term relationship, a former teacher and a former member of the business/corporate community also inform my work as a therapist.
